The Trash Association hereby declares that the call for applications for films is OPEN for this year’s jubilee, the sixth year running: Trash Film Festival

The Trash Association invites all lovers of film, people for whom film is a means of creative expression, where film is a wake up call and a lullaby… and to submit their films and engage in the fight for the “Golden Chainsaw”.

This year?s festival will be held in Varazdin, Croatia at MMC Kult. Located at the address Aninoj 2, Varazdin from September 8th – 10th, 2011.

As always, there shall be an uncompromising struggle in 5 different categories:

• The best action movie
• The best martial arts film
• Best SF
• The best horror film
• The best film overall (chosen by the audience)

The contest is open until: June 1st, 2011. The festival regulations and the online application can be found here.
